About Me

I am a Health Coach, certified through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  I am also an AIP Certified Coach, trained to guide individuals with autoimmune diseases through a specialized healing protocol.  My personal health journey led me to this exciting field of wellness.  For years I suffered the effects of anemia, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, gastritis, GERD, and Barrett's Esophagus, to name a few conditions.  When traditional methods of treatment only alleviated some of my symptoms, I began searching for answers to the causes of my health conditions.  What a life-changing experience!  My success prompted me to learn more about integrative health transformation for me and my family.  As a result my iron level is normal, my thyroid has stabilized, and my digestive issues have vanished, including the Barrett's!  In addition, my children's food sensitivities and behaviors have improved and my husband's sugar cravings are gone.  By incorporating healthy lifestyle strategies we have a new outlook on life!  I'm so excited to share these benefits with you!

I worked as a school counselor for ten years before starting a family.  I have earned two Master's Degrees in Education and have completed graduate courses in mind/body therapy, body language, creativity, self-esteem, and bereavement counseling, to name a few.  I have also been an instructor at the college level.  In my counseling experience I have come to realize that the whole person--body, mind, and spirit--needs to be addressed so that positive change and growth may occur.  I am passionate about finding natural ways to manage or heal common health conditions.

My husband, Andy, and I live in Maryland with our two children.  We are an active family loving the way we feel and appreciating the benefits of our new found energy and overall wellness.
